Shame however to see Henley's piece gets several things off-beam. The reference to the 'cheer, bearded and large-bellied man', while no doubt accurate, is a bit of a cliche. Henley also should really have known that the 'Lagerboy' T-shirt was not some spontaneous bit of with but an ad for Hobgoblin, the top-strength brew produced in Witney, Oxon, by Wychwood.
But at least the spirit was willing!?!?
