Wed or Thurs. Those Royal Beers.

So it's done and dusted. There were so many Wedding beers out there it was hard to get a handle on them all - especially in a straight glass. So, after the event, my favourites: Celebration by West London brewers Sambrook, was a fairly traditional bitter (as befits) with a pleasant light amber colour and a balanced mix of hops and malt. A decent session ale, suitable for any celebration. And I wouldn't be surprised to see it reappear.

Mico newcomer (relatively speaking) Windsor and Eton were obviously obliged to honour the occasion and did so in style with a fine ale called Windsor Knot (one for the tied houses???). This was easily my overall favourite Royal Wedding ale, nice and hoppy, fresh and with a bit of 2011 style. I have not the slightest idea whether Will and/or Kate are ale drinkers (I fear not and would place a penny to a pound that Harry is a Stella Arsoit man), but if they are, this one should bet a royal seal of approval.
